How to Deal with a Wardrobe

How to Deal with a Wardrobe

Check out our easy steps and tips for cleaning out your Wardrobe:

– Give yourself as much time as you need to tackle your wardrobe space – one to two hours should be enough for this.

– Take everything out of your wardrobe and place it into a box. You would be surprised to see just how big your box is as you discover items that you’d completely forgotten.

– Separate your clothes into 3 different boxes: ‘Yes’, ‘No’ and ‘Later’. ‘Yes’ should store items you frequently wear and like a lt. ‘No’ box is for items that you’re not bothered about. And your last box ‘Maybe’ is that little box of items that you’re not sure if you would wear them or not. If you have limits in  space, then you can bring items from your ‘Yes’ box back in your wardrobe. Your ‘No’ box can go straight into trash, as these you’re getting rid of.

– Sometimes we keep clothes because we know how much money we’ve spent on them, so we’re reluctant to take them away. If you don’t want to throw an old dress that cost you a lot of money then there are other options for cleaning out your clothes wardrobe. More expensive items are often good to sell on through Ebay or at Yard Sale, however remember that you usually have registration costs for these.

– Still not sure of what clothes to keep and what to take away? Then get a second opinion! Your friends or family members are great for a feedback on what is good, and you might be surprised to see how their opinion differs to yours.
