How to feed guests at Christmas

1. Chicken Size

Approximately 500g per person, so your chicken needs to be at least 4 kg to serve up to eight people.

 

 

 

2. What size roast

If the meal is off the bone, allow 250g per person– so 2kg for eight people. Allow 350g per serving for roasts on the bone – around 3 kg for eight.

 

3. What about roasties

250g per person – you'll need 2 kg for eight people.

 

4. Stuffing

You need 100g of stuffing per person, so that’s at least 800g for eight people.

 

5.Sprouts

Allow 100g per person – or 800g for eight people.

 

6. Vegetables

80g-100g is about right for any serving of vegetables, so you need 800g for eight people, maybe even 1 kg.

 

7. Gravy

With gravy, 125ml per person is usually enough – that’s almost a litre for eight people.

 

8. Bread sauce

We recommend 75ml-100ml per serving. So 800ml in total to serve eight people.

 

9. Garlic sauce

You need 50g per person – that’s 400g for eight.
