Microwave Secrets

Microwave Secrets

1.Remove the peel from the fruit and vegetables
Not an easy task, isn’t it, to peel tomatoes or peaches?
And here again, a microwave can provide invaluable help! Simply heat the fruit on high power for 30 seconds and leave to cool for a few minutes. You will witness a small miracle: the peel will start to come off itself right before your eyes, and your goal will be achieved without much effort.

2.Increase the volume of juice obtained from lemons and limes
Imagine, you can make a lemon or lime more juicy and easy to "squeeze" by placing them in the microwave for 10-20 seconds on high power.
Then slice the lemons, put in a juicer and you'll be surprised how much more juicier than normal, they will be.

3.Remove the peel from the garlic
The problem has a simple solution - put a head of garlic in the microwave and heat for 15 seconds on full power. The husk becomes wet and it can be easily removed

4. Honey decrystallisation
Honey seems too thick? If it crystallised, place the jar without a lid in the microwave for 2 minutes on low power. Honey will become fluid again while fully retaining its delicious taste.

5. Roasting nuts
Roasting almonds or cashews is done much faster in the microwave than in a conventional oven.
Just sprinkle nuts on a plate suitable for microwave use, set the timer for 1 minute on high power.
Repeat this process 4-5 times, mixing the nuts in between.

6. Chop onions without tears
You can forget about the tears when chopping onions, by simply cutting off both ends of the bulb and placing it in the microwave.
Heat the onion on full power for 30 seconds, and the pores, that release the juice, will dry up. Taste of all the nutrients remains in place, but tear provoking enzymes evaporated and onion is easy to chop without shedding a tear.

7. Bring potato chips back to life
Bring back the crunchy side of chips by using the microwave. Put your chips between few sheets of paper towels, and the excessive moisture will be completely absorbed during microwaving. Even a short heating is enough to add crisp to your chips

8. "Resuscitating" cereals and crackers
Have you crackers and cereals gone soft? You can use the same trick to add some crispness back!
In this case, there is no need for paper towels.
Simply heat the crackers in the microwave for 30 seconds and they will taste as good as new!
