Don't rush to throw it away!

Don't rush to throw it away!

Peel of a banana is a wonderful dressing for plants. When re-potting plants in a pot, add the shredded peel - it can be dried a bit in advance. Peel decomposes very quickly and feeds the  plant with micronutrients, especially with valuable potassium, which affects the build-up of green mass.
Another great source of potassium  are the coffee grinds - just pour it gently over the plants. Make sure it is sugar free! Unlike us, plants don’t seem to have a sweet tooth.

The shells of walnuts are excellent natural drainage for the house plants. When you re-pot the plants, simply add a layer of walnut shells at the bottom of the pot.

Pot with roses would really appreciate if you place an iron nail underneath the roots. In the garden, you can also try adding metal cans, placing them closer to the roots. During rusting process, iron is released and becomes available for plants intake. Roses will be receiving enough iron oxides to produce much brighter blooming flowers.

Peel of mandarin - dried and laid out in the wardrobe, will deter away moths and will give a light fragrance to your clothing.

There is not much better to clean microwave oven with than an orange peel. In a bowl, put the peel of 1-2 oranges, pour the water enough to cover the peels and allow to ‘cook’ for 5 minutes at maximum power. Clean the oven with a sponge and warm water.
When done regularly, it will take away the need to use any chemical detergents.
